Nancy Guthrie Neighborhood Asks Public to Stop Leaving Flowers at Missing Woman’s Home

One hundred days after Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson home, the Catalina Foothills Association is asking people to stop leaving flowers and memorial items outside her house. Association president Will Pew said the growing tributes have created safety and cleanup issues due to heat, wind, and animals, while increased visitors have also disrupted the quiet neighborhood.

Instead, supporters are encouraged to honor Nancy by donating to World Vision, a charity she has long supported. Pew said the community is deeply affected by her disappearance and asked everyone to respect the family’s privacy while keeping them in their thoughts.

Investigators believe the 84-year-old was abducted from her home on February 1. Surveillance footage showed a masked man at her door, and authorities found blood belonging to Nancy outside the home. Mixed DNA evidence is still being analyzed, and officials say they are making progress in the case.

Savannah Guthrie recently shared an emotional Mother’s Day message, saying her family misses Nancy every day and will never stop searching for her. A $1 million reward remains available for information leading to Nancy’s return or an arrest.
